Interior

The 2017 Express Cargo Van is available in two trim levels (2500 or 3500) and either Regular or Extended Wheelbase, with all versions seating two passengers. However, you have the option for a 5-Passenger Seating Arrangement, which adds rear seating, full-body window package glass, rear airbags, and auxiliary lighting.

Models with the Regular Wheelbase have 124.6 inches of cargo area length behind the front seats, 239.7 cubic feet of total cargo volume, and 52.9 inches of cargo height. Extended Wheelbase models have 146.2 inches behind the seats, 284.4 cubes of total cargo space, and 53.4 inches of cargo height. All models’ cargo boxes are 52.7 inches between the wheel housings. The rear door opening is 49.4 inches high and 57 inches wide, while the sliding door is 47.9 inches high and 44.1 inches wide.

Power and Performance

All models come standard with a 4.8-liter V8 Vortec engine that makes 285 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. You also have the option to upgrade to a 6.0-liter V8 Vortec engine that churns out 342 horsepower and 373 lb-ft of torque. Both options are rear-wheel drive and have a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 2500 Express has a maximum payload of 3,234 pounds, while the 3500 Express can carry up to 4,194 pounds. Additionally, the 6.0-liter engine can tow up to 10,000 pounds, and all models come available with a trailering hitch platform and trailer wiring with dual 4-pin/7-pin sealed connector.

Features

The Chevy Express Cargo Van comes standard with Solar-Ray light-tinted windows, daytime running lights, and swing-out passenger door, with the option for deep-tinted windows and a sliding passenger door. Available entertainment and convenience features include Chevrolet MyLink Radio with Navigation, Bluetooth wireless technology, Sirius XM Radio, NavTraffic, rear vision camera display mirror, cruise control, and OnStar 4G LTE and built-in WiFi hotspot.

Safety

All models of the Chevy Express feature airbags throughout the front cabin, steel side door beams, StabiliTrak, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System. You also have the option to add Rear Park Assist, Rear Vision Camera, and OnStar Automatic Crash Response, Crisis Assist, and Roadside Assistance.
